I have a 2 year old!

Lita and Sofie.

Thanks to Lauren her baby is VERY clean. The "bum paste" as she calls it, is one of her favorite new toys.

She wanders around the house saying "Where's my phone?" Don't know where she picked that up! ;) When she calls people like Maria or Aly and she can't hear them on the other end she says, "Oh, they hung up."

Sofie had SO much fun at her birthday party yesterday. I can't believe I have a 2 yr old!! She loved having 6 of her closest friends over and has been very entertained by all of the gifts! Thank you to everyone who came and celebrated with us including Lita (my mom) and to those who sent gifts!

Breakfast

Lately feeding Lucy real food is one of Sofie's favorite things and a couple minutes to get things done around here is well worth a little cereal on the ground.

Two Adults, Two Highchairs Please

The girls played while we cooked. Jarem was in charge of the stuffing (Hallows' secret recipe) and the turkey. I took care of the salad, corn on the cob, potatoes, holiday ambrosia, rolls and homemade macaroni and cheese.

The table is set! Good thing it was just the two of us or we wouldn't have had room for all of that food!
We enjoyed our first Thanksgiving away from family but we DID miss them terribly!
Everyone loves a great nap after the feast. Never mind the drool mark.

She Crawls!

So Jarem was out of town last week and was very concerned that Lucy would do her first crawl while he was gone. She has been getting so close for a while now but I believe that she held back for those 10 days to wait for him to return. On Wednesday morning, the very day he came home she crawled a real crawl for the first time and hasn't stopped since!

Lucy 7 mo. 3 weeks. (Sofie crawled at 6 mo. 3 weeks) We attribute the difference to the extra weight in Lucy's trunk! Love it!

A New Play Place

I was putting some clothes in the wash and she just hopped right in the dryer and played in there for about an hour. Silly Sofie!

This Girl: 23 months going on 16 yrs.

Lately Sofie has been begging me to allow her to do various tasks. Some of her most common requests are, "put make-up eyes" (put mascara on her) "Soapy drive home!" and last time we went to Walmart and passed the underwear section she called out "Soapy wear bra!"

Just the thought that she will turn 2 next month almost brings me to tears! What am I going to do when she really does turn 16?! If only she could stay like this forever.

Hallows Halloween

This year we were Wizard of Oz but we were missing our Tin Man because he was out of town at a training in Cape Cod. When I mentioned to Jarem that I wanted him to be the Tin Man for Halloween he told me that he had already been the Tin Man before! Then we learned that he would be gone that weekend anyway.Glenda the Good Witch, Toto, and Dorothy.
I used my brown eye liner to draw on Lucy's nose and now whenever Sofie sees me using that eyeliner she calls it Lucy's nose.

Jarem is finally home and we are all thrilled!
