AZ

A whole lot of Hallows at one of Lane's favorite lunch spots.
Isn't Mimi gorgeous?
Jarem with his highschool besties...and all of their babies.
Auntie Lu and Lucy reading books and eating blue berries.

Tickle wars with Tio Reed.

We were devestated to hear of Lane's passing but thrilled at the opportunity to see our family. It was a sweet AZ reunion. We hopped back on a plane 3 weeks after our DC trip (when we promised ourselves that we wouldn't fly again with 3 sweet babies under 3) but the kids did surprisingly well. It didn't hurt that Tony Romo was sitting 3 rows in front of us...he's much cuter in person...and I may have gotten his autograph.

We spent time, although not enough, with "Goppy brown hair" (as opposed to Goppy white hair, thank you, Sofie) and Mimi, Lauren and Beckham boy, Dallyn, Reed, Jim and Jackie, Spence and Aly and lots of cousins, aunts and uncles. We are very grateful to the Giles who put us up for the long weekend and welcomed all five of us, as if we were their own.

The highlight of the trip was time spent in the temple with the entire family. It was lovely to say the least. We came away with a renewed committment to cherish life and loved ones and a deeper appreciation of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

I didn't have very much interaction with Lane myself but I know he was an extremely generous, kind and humble man. An example to us all.

He eats food.

Well kind of...
He doesn't love rice cereal unless he's starving and I put apple juice in it. I guess he just prefers what I have going on. He's a boy.

6.5 mo stats: 20 lbs, 28 inches 90-95th percentile

He's on a steriod breathing treatment twice a day for his chronic "smoker's cough" as we lovingly call it. Hopefully it will clear up this lung inflammation once and for all. Bendolito, he's had it for most of his little life! Thank you, sisters, thank you.

In 2 weeks...

that gorgeous blond on the left will be home!!! Hermana Dickson will go back to just being Lizey and I will meet her at DFW for the shortest 45 minutes of my life. I love all of my sisters but Lize and I had become so close right before she left. She was there for Sofie and Lucy's births and I was pretty sad when she missed King's but the tender mercy was that he came 3 weeks early and was born on HER BIRTHDAY!
She's the type of sister that came over to hold my newborn at 430 am so that I could sleep for a couple hours and then went to an 8 am class. You will never hear her say a negative comment about anyone and it's not even fun gossiping around her bc she won't participate. She laughs all the time and she is the real life Giselle from the movie Enchanted. She really says things like "Oh my!" and will break into song at any given moment.
I talk to Maria or Sal almost everyday but, I am getting excited for our Utah move so that we can all be in the same state again. I am so blessed to call these ladies my sisters.
