AZ

A whole lot of Hallows at one of Lane's favorite lunch spots.
Isn't Mimi gorgeous?
Jarem with his highschool besties...and all of their babies.
Auntie Lu and Lucy reading books and eating blue berries.

Tickle wars with Tio Reed.

We were devestated to hear of Lane's passing but thrilled at the opportunity to see our family. It was a sweet AZ reunion. We hopped back on a plane 3 weeks after our DC trip (when we promised ourselves that we wouldn't fly again with 3 sweet babies under 3) but the kids did surprisingly well. It didn't hurt that Tony Romo was sitting 3 rows in front of us...he's much cuter in person...and I may have gotten his autograph.

We spent time, although not enough, with "Goppy brown hair" (as opposed to Goppy white hair, thank you, Sofie) and Mimi, Lauren and Beckham boy, Dallyn, Reed, Jim and Jackie, Spence and Aly and lots of cousins, aunts and uncles. We are very grateful to the Giles who put us up for the long weekend and welcomed all five of us, as if we were their own.

The highlight of the trip was time spent in the temple with the entire family. It was lovely to say the least. We came away with a renewed committment to cherish life and loved ones and a deeper appreciation of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

I didn't have very much interaction with Lane myself but I know he was an extremely generous, kind and humble man. An example to us all.
