A very chilly 5k

Last Saturday we went to run a 5k to support Wasatch Mental Health with Spencer and Aly. Little did we know we would encounter such harsh conditions. I ended up waiting in the car with Sofie becase it was just too cold for her. Jarem finished in record time but still couldn't feel great about his performance as he was beaten by 2 girls. Spencer and Aly were champs to brave the cold with us. We love you guys!

Visitors

My parents and Jarem's dad came in town to visit last week. We had so much fun and can't wait to see them all again soon!

Baby Hallows

We feel so blessed to be welcoming Baby Hallows #2 to our family in March 2009. Even though he/she is only 2 inches long we couldn't love him/her more!

Mr. and Mrs.

We are so happy that Aly is our sister now! Spence couldn't have possibly married better. It was a fabulous weekend with family including our new family the Giles. The sealing was perfect and the reception was gorgeous and so much fun! We love you Aly!

ps. We missed Maria so much but she is more blessed than any of us so you really can't feel too badly for her. ;)

New talent

A couple weeks ago we were at In and Out Burger and Sofie drank from a straw. She had been trying for a while, i suspect because she often sees me using a straw, and she finally got it. Now she can't get enough. She always has to have one!

Sofie Crawls!!

Sofie's been scooting for a while now but last night for the first time Sofie did a real crawl across the floor. Jarem was right there but I found myself shouting "Look look she's really doing it!" I even got a little teary. If I had my way she would stay little forever! I guess I'm happy for her. I caught her new moves on video this morning.

Golf and Ice Cream with the Cranes

President and Sister Crane were in town this weekend to see their family but we managed to steal a little bit of time with them too! Jarem, Brian Perkinson (a fellow PR missionary), Paul (President Cranes' son-in-law) and P. Crane all went golfing early Saturday morning and later that day we grabbed some Cold Stone as we saw them off at the airport.
We feel so blessed to have had the most wonderful Mission President who enriched our missions and our lives. He taught us to strive for excellence and believed that we were capable of it. He showed us love and compassion but also required exactness. Puerto Rico and the 400+ missionaries the Cranes served are blessed to have worked at thier side and felt of their love. President and Sister Crane are absolutely wonderful and we love them so!
