So this is a "Jarem Post" on why I think I am so lucky to be with Camilla. It's 9:15 p.m. and Camilla is at the gym right now, for the second time today. She's already watched Sofie and babysat another 8 month old kid for 7 hours today. She taught her aerobics class, took me to and from school, and made my lunch. This girl is amazing---
So the story is this...for the past couple of months I have been really working really hard to prepare for some job interviews and it has been really stressful. I get all worked up about things and probably drive Camilla nuts every night when I can't just come home and relax.
Yesterday I had a final interview for one of the firms that I really want to work for. I basically didn't sleep the night before and I was really tense and nervous on the plane ride out to the firm's location. I could not relax not matter what I tried. I finally realized that if I didn't chill out I would probably die of a heart attack before the plane landed, and that would definitely lower my chances of getting the job.
I ended up messing around on my Ipod and looking for a playlist. I came across the "Wedding Mix" which has all the best songs that Camilla and I loved to 'listen' to on our dates. I started looking at a few of our family pictures as well. I eventually made it to an album of pictures from some of our first dates, engagement pics (the first date and engagement weren't too far apart :) ), vacations, and our latest family pictures with Sofie. During all this I had one of those moments, you know, when everything just seems so right and perfect and fine. I just felt like the luckiest guy around.
Before I knew it the plane had started its final decent and I was on the ground ready to go. I felt great about the interviews, but I was more excited to come home and be with my family. I got a couple of great girls on my hands and the two of them make me forever happy.
Thanks Nena for being more confident in me than I am in myself. Thanks for calming me down and helping me relax even when I was a couple hundred miles away. Thanks for making each day the time of my life.
