My beloved Dr. Staud. I'm considering commuting to Dallas after we leave for business school so that she can deliver more of my babies!

July 14th was a happy day for our family. Kingsley finally joined us after months of bedrest and 2 false alarm trips to labor and delivery. To be completely certain that I was in fact in labor, that morning I went to see my doctor in her office and she confirmed that I wa s a 5 and sent me right over to the hospital. He was born at 6 pm that evening with no episiotomy or tearing! Thank you Dr. Staud! He was, however face up which made him a little bit hearder to push out but Dr. Staud believes that this positioning is what caused me to be able to stay pregnant for so long. He was 2 and a half weeks early and weighed 8 pounds 4 ounces. We were instantly in love with him. Besides Jarem, of course, he is the most beautiful man I've ever seen! I can't take my eyes off him!
Thank you to our dear friends who watched the girls while I was in the hospital and to Jarem's work collegues for not firing him for standing up and walking out of an important meeting to be at the birth. :)
July 14th also happens to be Eliza's birthday. Tears came to my eyes when I realized that he would be born that day because Eliza had been present at both Sofie and Lucy's births but is now serving a mission. We missed her but it was a very tender mercy.
