Thanksgiving in Amarillo

Jarem took some much needed time off for the Thanksgiving holiday and we headed west to Amarillo. Before we left we had lunch at the new 5 guys in Las Colinas. We like to eat there because not only are their burgers the best, the noise level is high enough that our kids don't disturb anyone.
Sofie is wearing short sleeves because it was almost 80 degrees that day and very humid.
On Thanksgiving day we woke up at 430 am and started our drive. It was 31 degrees!

Gramma Jackie and great grandson Kingsley met for the first time.

King is his usual jolly self.

Jarem and myself in front of GopGop Bret's childhood home in Hereford.
I know it looks like I'm pregnant but I'm not. Something wierd is going on with my sweater. That's not until next month...duh! ;)

The cows.
The barn. Also known as the tin-can-cut-in-half-on-it's-side.

Father and son in front of Arrowhead Mills where Bret worked as a teenager.

We had a blast with Jim and Jackie in Amarillo eating Thanksgiving dinner, touring around Amarillo, visiting Hereford and basking in the rich culture of West Texas. We learned so much about our Hallows' roots and can't wait to go back for another visit.
