A Night Out At The Ballpark

The Hallows at Texas Ranger Stadium.

Jarem enjoying his 3 most favorite things: family, baseball and ice cream.
(Not pictured nachos at #4.)

I think he's explaining the game of baseball to King in this picture.

Sofie was so done taking pictures.
We decided last minute to put the girls down for late naps and head out to the ballpark. It was a night game so it wasn't too hot and we all had a great time! Let's go Rangers!

Lucy's Latest: 17 months

We were waiting for our drinks at Sonic and Sally captured these videos of Lucy. Mom always brags that I knew my ABC's at 18 months. Looks like Lucy has shown us all up!

Post Script: I didn't teach Lucy any of these tricks. I didn't even know she could count to ten until Lauren brought it to my attention. She was playing hide and go seek with Sofie and just started counting. Sofie always sings twinkle twinkle little star to Lucy when she's sad so naturally it caught on. I have a feeling that Sofie will have more of an influence on Lucy than Jarem or I will ever have. :)

Jarem...He counts as a visitor these days and besides he's so nice to look at. (King 2 weeks)

All of us at the Fort Worth stockyards.

Lita and the babies.

Looks like King did something extraordinary :)

We can't wait to see the GopGops next month!

Sunday morning devotional

Sitting in an airport lounge 5,000 miles away from home on a Sunday morning is somewhat of a sobering event. Instead of attending early morning church meetings, wrestling girls into skirts and jellies, and frantically jamming snacks into zip lock baggies on the way out the door for 8:30 a.m. church, I am sitting in an airport only wishing I was participating in the chaos that is "Sunday morning at the Hallows".

Now for full disclosure, I really don't do much on a typical Sunday morning besides loading kids into car seats --- Camilla is the real work horse. But this morning I am really missing our typical readings of Dr. Seuss classics and our ritual feast of cheeze its, cheerios and cheese sticks during Sacrament Meeting.

While no replacement for a morning of church with my family, I did come across this fantastic article this morning in the July Ensign and I wanted to share it. I know that a lot of Camilla's friends that read this blog have husbands who travel quite a bit for work so if you haven't read this article yet, it is a must read!
