Sofie has been taking dance lessons for 8 months, and it culminated in a 60 second display of plies, sotes, ADHD, tutus, and smiles.

I love me some Sofie.

King 9 mo.

King had his 9 mo check up today and he was in the 95th percentile for height, 30 inches, and in the 75th for weight, 22 lbs. His two front teeth seem to be close to breaking through and he is successfully sleeping through the night, 8 pm to 8 am. We finally had to do the cry-it-out method a couple weeks ago but only took a couple days for him to get it. Although I was completely devestated by listening to my baby cry for an hour and 20 minutes the first night, I'm a much nicer mom now that I'm rested.
He loves his new found freedom and follows the girls and me around all day. I love seeing his little face poking around the corner.

He has sad little matching bruises on each side of his head.

Nevermind Sofie's outfit in the background. She was just "trying on" the striped leggings.He pulls up in his crib now and sometimes likes to stand for a second or two.

He still has blue eyes just like Jarem.

His mama and dada babbles melt my heart. He always calls out mama when he wants to be picked up or get out of bed.

Lucy also went in for her 2 yr check-up. She is still off the charts for height, 37 in, and in the 80th percentile for weight, 29 lbs.

Sofie wanted us to check how big she was too, of course, so she jumped on the scale, 37 lbs.

Jarem came home and I lovingly greeted him at the door with a crying child. Very commonplace.

The girls and I made some easter treats after dinner...butterflys and a bunny.

Jarem turned 26 yesterday! The last couple years I haven't done much to celebrate his birthday so I wanted to redeem myself this year. On Friday we ate at one of our fvorite places, Grand Lux Cafe. Next I surprised him with a night away from the kids at the Westin. I never get to surprise Jarem with gifts because he loves checking our account and most of the time he knows where I've been that day based on the account activity. I felt really sneaky making the reservation with cash and keeping the whole thing a secret for several weeks. Thank you Brownlow's for watching our kids and sacrificing a night of sleep!

On Monday morning (his actual birthday) he slept in and had breakfast in bed. I e-mailed his boss to make sure it was cool if he came in late. Jorge and Jarem have become besties so he of course said yes and then team took him out for a long lunch.

Jarem magically scored Mavs tickets at work. We got to go to a play off game on his birthday! and they WON! It will be difficult to top this birthday next year, but I'll try. :)

Currently

Lucy is passed out on the couch... Yo Gabba's still rolling.

King is playing in the girls room and "messing everything up". The picture is blurry because he is crawling (for real now)! His new favs are computer power cords and the fire place. Awesome.

Sofie and her friend Sadie are playing. Sadie is a great playmate because she takes Sofie's bossiness in stride and stands up for herself when all Sofie wants to do is play with her gorgeous long hair.
