A Champion in our Midst

On January 19th Jarem, Ari, and his friend Troy ran 13.1 miles at the Painter's Half Marathon in St. George. Jarem decided he'd like to take up running after we did a 5k in October. Jarem spent two months waking up early to train. It seems that he's a natural as he beat his goal time and finished the race in 1:52:30. It was exciting for me and Sofie and the rest of the Hallows family to wait at the check points and cheer them on as they ran by. As Jarem approached the finish line, he saw me and Sofie waiting for him. He paused moments before finishing to give her a kiss. Many of the other spectators ooooohhhhhhed and awwwwwwed.

Comment from Jarem: "That was a looooong fetchin' course."

Air guitaring to Yellowcard helped Jarem make it through the 10.5 mile checkpoint.

jarom,

next you need to run a full marathon. I assure you, it is worth it! It is dang hard, and advil will become your best friend, but you'll never regret it. plus, not many people can say they have run 26.2 miles straight!
