A Few of Sofie's Favorite Things

Well it's been almost six weeks now, and yep...Sofie completely runs our lives. She tells us what to do, when to do it, and how it should be done. She definitely lives the high life---eats, sleeps, and hangs out all day long. And to tell you the truth, we don't mind too much. Sure, a few more hours of sleep wouldn't bother us and we would sure love to not change 12 diapers a day, but all in all we think we got a winner. She's worth it.

So here are three things she loves to do : bathe, go on drives, and go on walks.

The bathing hobby definitely comes from Mimi (Grandma Lisa). Sofie (Soapy, as she is well known by) loves sitting in the hot water and getting a scrub down.

About three nights a week Jarem and Sofie go on drives. Sofie likes them at about 3:00 am of course. Last Sunday night their drive was interrupted by a state trooper who almost sent Jarem to jail. Not only did Jarem run a stop sign and not signal before turning, his blood shot eyes meant one of two things: either a reckless drug addict or an exhausted new dad. I wonder which is safer on the road at night. When the patrolman asked for Jarem's license and heard Sofie screaming he laughed and said, "Have a good night and good luck with that one."

Last of all, Sofie loves her new Bjorn Backpack complements of Aunt Michele. When the weather is right Mom and Dad have taken her on a few strolls in the neighborhood. But mostly Sofie enjoys getting strapped in and doing laps around our roomy 700 square foot apartment. The record stands at 23 laps completed two weeks ago by Jarem and Sofie.
