This Girl: An Update

Lucy has been changing so much lately I thought it was time to update on the Luz. When I don't have the energy to take the girls to the pool (just a short walk across the parking lot), they are just as content to play with buckets of water on the patio. I love Texas.
Lucy loves to play with any type of ball. It is the first thing that she asks for in the morning. She also loves to play with any toy or object that Sofie has, making me feel more like a referee than a mother. :)
She has 3 molars coming in, in addition to the 8 teeth she already has. Her favorite song is Row row row your boat and asks us to sing it by saying, "Rowrow!" over and over again.
Her favorite words are ball, baby, milk, uh oh, bubbles, hi, cracker, cookie, "i don't know" (she picked this one up from Sofie) bye bye, night night, pretty, dog, Jesus, shoes, pillow (she is obsessed with pillows), all done, phone, no(she might shake her finger at you), dada and mama.
She still enjoys her morning and afternoon naps like clockwork. She, unlike Sofie, always likes to be where ever I am. She follows me, or Jarem, from room to room. Jarem has even tripped over her a couple times because she is always under foot! She likes to be held and cuddle. Total opposite of Sofie. :)
She is quick to laugh, smile and wave at strangers. She is such a light in our family, worthy of her namesake. She has endless patience with us and her older sister. We adore our Lucy girl.

At her 12 month check-up...which took place at almost 14 months.
weight: 25.5 lbs 90th percentile
height: 32.5 inches off the charts
Problem: Allergy to scratchy Target brand diapers.
Solution: Super soft organic cotton diapers.
Can you blame her though? Who doesn't love soft undies? Sorry we've been holding out on you Luz.
